Who we are

What we collect
What you give us. Your name and email address when you create an account. Your résumé, whether uploaded as a file or entered as text. Your target job titles, locations, and search preferences. Anything you type into your profile.
What you create by using the service. The jobs we match to you and the fit scores we calculate. The résumés and cover letters we generate for you. The jobs you tell us you applied to, the stage each application has reached, and any notes you add. Your market reports and job analyses.
What we record automatically. When you sign in, which pages you use, and basic technical information your browser sends. Payment records — though not your card number, which goes directly to our payment processor and never reaches us.
Your job-search history is the sensitive part, and we treat it that way
Taken together, the applications you track tell someone that you are looking for work and where you have applied. For many people that is more sensitive than the résumé itself, because a current employer learning it can cost them the job they already have.
We do not share it. No employer sees your account. Where a sponsoring organization funds your access, what their staff can see is governed by consent you give and can withdraw — we record those choices as a permanent, append-only log so there is always a record of what you agreed to and when.
Why we process it
To find and rank jobs for you, to write the documents you ask for, to send you the results, to take payment, and to keep the service running and secure. That is the whole list.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.
Your data leaves our systems, and here is the honest version
Analyzing a résumé against a job posting requires sending both to an AI provider outside our infrastructure. Searching for jobs requires sending your target titles and location to a search provider. Sending you email requires giving a delivery provider your name and address. Sending us a message from the contact form while signed out runs a quick automatic check from Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and browser details so it can tell people from bots.
Your information is not used to train AI models.
The current list of every service that receives your data, exactly what each one receives, and how long each keeps it, is published at jobsweetjob.com/subprocessor. We keep that page current as our providers change.
How long we keep it
We currently have no automated deletion schedule. Accounts, résumés, generated documents, and search history are retained indefinitely. We would rather state that plainly than describe a practice we have not built.
You can have your data deleted. Email hello@jobsweetjob.com and ask. We will delete your personal information within 30 days of the request and confirm when it is done. A sponsoring organization can make the same request on behalf of someone it funds.
Some records are kept after deletion where the law requires it — payment and tax records in particular. We will tell you what was kept and why.
We are writing a formal retention schedule and will publish it here when it is in place.
Your choices
See what we hold. Email us and we will provide it.
Correct it. Most of it you can edit in your profile directly. For anything you cannot, email us.
Delete it. As above — 30 days.
Stop the email. Every message we send that is not strictly about your account carries an unsubscribe link, and we honor it. You can also just email us.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these.
Security
Your data is held in an encrypted database hosted in the United States. Access is limited to what the service needs to function and to the people who operate it. Payment card details never touch our systems.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.
Age
Job Sweet Job is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date and version above. For a change that materially affects how we handle your information, we will email you before it takes effect.
