How the AI Works

Last updated 9 September 2026

We use AI to do most of the work in Job Sweet Job. This page says exactly what it does, what it will never do, and what you should expect from it.

What the AI generates

Nearly everything you receive: the roles matched to you, the fit score on each one, your market reports, your tailored résumés and cover letters, and the analysis in every Hot Take. All of it is AI-generated from your résumé and from live job postings.

Every document is a draft you must check

This is the most important sentence on this page. What we produce is a starting point, not a finished application. Read it before you send it. You know things about your own history that the AI does not, and the document goes out under your name.

We never add what you did not give us

We do not add a skill, employer, credential, certification, or schedule that is not in your source material. Tailoring means selecting which of your real experience to lead with, reordering it, emphasizing what matters for a particular role, and describing it in that posting's vocabulary. It does not mean inventing qualifications.

We enforce this two ways:

A constraint on the AI itself. The instructions the model works under state the rule explicitly and list the specific things it may never assert unless your résumé says them — software and tools, certifications and licenses, shift patterns, duties you have not performed, and numbers of any kind.

A review pass on tailored documents. When we tailor a résumé or cover letter for a specific job, a second AI review checks its claims against your original résumé. Anything it cannot trace back is sent for correction, and a document that still carries an unsupported claim after that is not delivered to you at all.

Neither is a guarantee, and we would rather say so. These are checks, not certainties — an automated review can miss things. That is why the first thing this page tells you is to read what we produce before you send it. That instruction is not a formality. It is the last and most reliable check in the process.

What a fit score is, and what it is not

A fit score estimates how well your background lines up with a posting's stated requirements. That is all it is.

It is not a prediction that you will be hired. It is not a judgment of your worth as a candidate. No employer ever sees it, and it plays no part in any hiring decision anywhere.

The limits, stated plainly

Job listings are incomplete. We aggregate from third-party sources. Postings can be stale, duplicated, already filled, or reposted months after they first appeared elsewhere. A job not appearing in your results does not mean it does not exist.

Fit scoring is a judgment, not a measurement. Two reasonable people would score the same résumé differently, and so would the AI on a different day.

The AI can be wrong about a job posting. It reads what the posting says, which is not always what the employer means.

This is a tool for you, not a filter against you

Job Sweet Job is used by the job seeker. It is not a screening system, an applicant tracking system, or anything an employer uses to evaluate candidates. Nothing we generate is shared with an employer except by you, deliberately, when you send it.

That distinction matters: the rules governing automated employment decision tools apply to systems employers use to screen applicants. This is the opposite — a tool that helps a person apply.

What we do not claim

We do not guarantee employment, an interview, or any hiring outcome. We help you apply to better-matched roles with better-prepared documents. The rest is not ours to promise.

Your information is not used to train AI models. How that works, and every service that receives your data, is at jobsweetjob.com/subprocessor.
